12:45 AM
The tranquillity in the environment is being interloped by certain things such as the click of the keys, feeble tik-tik sounds from the hands of the table clock and the fan running at full speed. A book of poetry which is next on your reading list is kept above the book written by you. The two diaries are enjoying the content of the books kept above them. Some saplings, kept at the edge of the table are growing quietly, unhurriedly in bits. An obsolete phone, no longer in use, has been made usable as a paperweight. A wired earphone which may become endangered in the coming future has been protected in a small case. A bowl of maggie prepared by you is there to satiate your appetite as you know you’ll be staying awake till late and you might feel hungry. Your laptop is on standby mode because you’re thinking about writing something, perhaps fiction, non-fiction or just an excerpt. Some soft/slow music/songs have been added to the playlist that keeps changing, easing your state of mind leisurely. You’ve allowed only the amount and colour of light in your room, enough to calm you.
Amidst all this, you’re sitting alone in your room, in the space where you can be yourself. This is your time. No one to disturb you. You’re not waiting for any messages from anyone. There are problems but a hope to overcome most of them. You’ve got a family and some friends who care for you. You’re at peace, not perfectly but in an imperfect peace.
Then why complain about life? Why not live every moment of it?!
It’s 1:34 AM.
I guess it’s time to sleep.
Good night!
